What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?Went to the temple.
Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make morefor next year?I don't recall ever making any, they're usually broken though. Every day I just resolve to be a better mother/wife/employee/etc...
Did anyone close to you give birth?Yes, my sister-in-laws Renee and Ines, and my college friend Jennifer.
Did anyone close to you die?No.
What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?A house, if not to buy (which I'm pretty sure won't happen this year) then at least renting one.
What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? There's a few but the one that pops out is November 8th because that was when I went to the temple!
What was your biggest achievement of the year?I'm going to sound like a broken record...going to the temple. Oh, losing 30 pounds + is a big achievement for me.
What was your biggest failure?Gaining all that weight before taking it off, and not being more financially responsible.
Did you suffer illness or injury? I strained my sciatic nerve in my lower back and that kept me immobile for a few days but other than that it was a pretty healthy year.
What was the best thing you bought?We didn't make any big purchases, the Wii-Fit is turning out to be a pretty good investment!
Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?They will remain nameless.
Where did most of your money go?Bills, where else?
What did you get really, really, really excited about?Losing weight! I'm still excited about it! It's something I've never been able to achieve despite years of trying.
What song will always remind you of 2008? There's so many. I guess that Beyonce song "Put a Ring On It" because it's the first thing that popped in my mind.
Compared to this time last year, are you: much happier, richer, nicer? Definitely happier, probably not richer, sort of nicer :P Perhaps I'm a little wiser, too!
What do you wish you'd done more of?Made a better effort to have family home evenings, become more organized, scrapbooking! Ok, I haven't scrapbooked at all, I haven't even started my wedding scrapbook! I know, that's like the ultimate no-no! But I have started a memory box so I'd have a place to put all my pictures that I do want to scrapbook later, whenever later happens to be!
What do you wish you'd done less of?Spent money.
How did you spend Christmas?With the kiddos and with my in-laws.
Did you fall in love in 2008?I fall in love all over again everyday with my hubby. How's that for a cheesy answer?
What was your favorite TV program? The Biggest Loser, The Young and the Restless, American Idol, and during the summer So You Think You Can Dance. I guess I'm a sucker for those types of shows.
Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?Nah.
What was the best book you read this year?I didn't really get a chance to read much so this will be a lame answer, it's a toss-up between the Twilight books, last book of Harry Potter, and the last book of The Great and the Terrible series.
What did you want and get?Wii-Fit, weight loss, love.
What were your favorite films of this year?I don't know, don't really remember what all I saw. I guess the winner is Twlight! Haha!
What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I was up in Show Low celebrating my one-year anniversary with my hubby and the 4th of July with my family. A perfect birthday, besides the fact that I'm now a quarter of a century old.
What one thing would have made your year immeasurably moresatisfying?I don't know, having Ed McMahon knocking on my front door?
How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008? Hobo.
What kept you sane? Getting enough sleep at night and Diet Coke.
Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Joel McHale. The Soup is hilarious!
What political issue stirred you the most?Abortion legislation, gay marriage, just about every single socialist agenda out there. Glad the elections are over!
Who did you miss?My eastward family, Jeff and Ines, and Dave and Renee.
Who was the best new person (people) you met?Probably people from my ward, I met my new neice Alexandra too! That was pretty great! Still waiting to meet my new nephew, Elio, I'm sure he's pretty great too!
Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008. Be patient, when life becomes too hard to stand get down on your knees and pray.
What are you most excited for in 2009? Reaching my goal weight, and hopefully (keeping fingers crossed) being sealed to my husband.
