A blog for the blog.

Upon my mother's request, I decided I better update this thing. I don't think I ever liked writing that much, so I apologize for my inconsistency. Things are going well here. We're back into the swing of things and the kids are back in school. Both Mason and Ashlee love the car track set that Sofia sent, I can't believe how many cars came with it! Thank you! Mom and Dad, Ashlee loves the horse you got her for Christmas. She calls it "Jinglebells" after the pony up at your house.
For New Years Eve some of my old EAC roomies came over and we went ice skating, then came back to the apartment and played Mario Party on Wii until the wee hours of the morning. The Wii's are a lot of fun!! I just wish the accessories weren't so expensive.

For Shaun's birthday, we all went to Logan's Roadhouse and there was a painting on the wall of a man holding a mug of beer and Mason asks, "why is that man drinking hot chocolate?" Aww I love the innocence of a child! Of course we all played along with it. The children will be with their mommy next weekend so Shaun and I will have the weekend to ourselves for the first time in a while. We're not sure what we're going to do, we were thinking about coming up to Show Low if Mom and Dad will be there.

A couple months ago was breast cancer awareness month and it caused me to be more aware of myself and get a lump checked out that I discovered a few months earlier. I got an ultra sound done on it about a month ago and was told it looked like a benign tumor but I should get a biopsy done to be safe. That word makes me cringe, I have a tumor in my boob! Well two days ago I got the biopsy but I haven't found out the results yet. The doctor kept telling me that it looks benign and I'm way too young. I don't know, I've heard of 19 year olds getting breast cancer so shouldn't I still be concerned?? I've been agonizing over the whole thing. I'm like Dad, I'm always worrying.

Alright, I don't think there's too much going on other than that. Maybe I should make a resolution to update this more with it being the new year and all! Here's a few pictures I took over Christmas:
